Abstract


In order to establish a flood hazard and flood risk maps of Guelmim city (south of Morocco), physical characteristics evaluation of the Assaka watershed proves primordial; mainly the Sayed and Oum Laachar wadis sub-watersheds. In the end of 2014, the Assaka basin with its main affluents Sayed and Oum Laachar wadis were subject to floods causing huge human and material damages. Abstract: (french)


Dans une perspective d’établir une carte de l’aléa inondation et une autre préventive de risque à l’inondation de la ville de Guelmim (située au sud de Maroc), une évaluation des caractéristiques physiques du bassin versant d’Assaka ; principalement sous basins versant de oued Sayed et oued Oum Laâchar ; s’avère primordiale. Durant la fin de l’année 2014, Le bassin d’Assaka avec ses principaux affluents oued Sayed et oued Oum Laâchar a été sujette à des inondations causant des dégâts humains et matériels non négligeables. L’approche méthodologique est basée sur l’utilisation du Système d’Informations Géographiques ArcGis et des modèles hydrologiques spatialisés HEC-GeoDozer et HEC-GeoHMS pour le traitement d’un Modèle Numérique de Terrain MNT afin d’extraire les caractéristiques physiques des deux sous bassins versants. Les données obtenues constitueront une base importante pour l’élaboration d’un modèle hydrologique ; outil facile pour les décideurs des politiques publiques pour l’aménagement des oueds Sayed et Oum laâchar et la prévention contre leur inondation dans cette région hostile climatiquement. Le résultat final du traitement du SIG est une base de données hydrologique spatiale, contenant un réseau hydrographique très dense des deux sous basins et une pente variable ; forte en bordure du bassin et faible dans la plaine de Guelmim, ce qui favorise l’accumulation des eaux de pluies et le débordement des oueds lors des crues.
