Abstract


To make an animation of a 3D model, it must be characterized by its shape by searching a hierarchical structure "skeleton" that best describes the shape of the object by describing the main joints and edges of the latter.
So our idea developed in this paper is to use a new approach to algorithm "Thinning" applied to 3D objects in a 2D view that will facilitate the extraction of these skeletons from these objects and to compare them with 3D objects voxels to accurately describe the morphology of the objects used and facilitate the recognition of 3D objects from their skeletons.

Abstract: (french)


Afin de faire une animation d'un modèle 3D,on doit le caractériser par sa forme en cherchant une structure hiérarchique "squelette" qui décrit le mieux possible la forme de cet objet en décrivant les articulations et les arêtes principales de ce dernier.
Donc, notre idée développée dans cet article est d'utiliser une nouvelle approche de l'algorithme « Thinning » appliquée à des objets 3D en vue 2D qui va faciliter l'extraction de ces squelettes à partir de ces objets et de les comparer avec des objets 3D voxels pour bien décrire la morphologie des objets utilisés et faciliter la reconnaissance des objets 3D à partir de leurs squelettes.
