The effect of stocking density on the growth performance of Clarias jaensis in pond was studied in the zone of Nkolnkondi II, area of center Cameroon with an aim of contributing to the improvement of the production by the optimization of the stocking densities. Abstract: (french)


L’effet de la densité de mise en charge sur les performances de croissance de Clarias jaensis en étang a été étudié dans la zone de Nkolnkondi II, Région du Centre-Cameroun dans le but de contribuer à l’amélioration de la production par l’optimisation des densités de mise en charge. Un total de 1000 juvéniles de poids moyen (20,39±4,87g) collectés en milieu naturel a été reparti en trois lots de densités : (D1); (D2); (D3). Le lot (D2) a été considéré comme témoin et les lots (D1) et (D3) ont été des lots tests. Les fertilisants organiques utilisés ont été les fientes de poules et les lisiers de porcs. Leur taux d’application a été de 20 kg/are puis 5kg/are 2fois/semaine. Les résultats suivants ont été obtenus : poids moyens finaux, gains de poids, gains moyens quotidiens et taux de croissance spécifiques de D2 ont été de (164,63±5,35g); (269,86±13,87g); (2,54±0,07g/j); (3,8±0,05%g/j), significativement différents (P˂0,05) à celles de D1 de (143,05±4,62 g); (159,48±11,4g ); (1,27±0,08g/j), (2,49±0,1%g/j) et D3 de (130,23±3,07g); (132,5±10,55g); (2,08±0,03g/j); (3,13±0,3%g/j) Quant aux taux de survie, ils ont été de (89,00±5,1 %); (95,02±5,0%); (92,3±5,3%) dans D1, D2, D3. Il en ressort que le lot (D2) a enregistré de meilleures performances de croissance et un taux de survie élevés des juvéniles de Clarias jaensis en étangs fertilisés.
