From March 2012 to March 2013 a study of infestation of natural grasslands by ticks was carried out in groups of Bugorhe and Irhambi-katana in the province of South Kivu, DRC. It identified eight families' plants including: Poaceae, Pteridaceae, Cyperaceae, Malvaceae, Ast

Abstract: (french)


De Mars 2012 à Mars 2013 une étude d'infestation des prairies naturelles par les tiques a été réalisée dans les groupements de Bugorhe et d'Irhambi-katana dans la province du Sud-Kivu, en RDC .Elle a permis d'identifier huit familles de plantes dont : Poaceae, Pteridaceae, Cyperaceae, Malvaceae, Astéraceae, Amaranthaceae, Lamiaceae, et Juncaceae. Trois espèces des tiques identifiées, notamment Rhipicephalus appendiculatus, Boophilus decoloratus et Haemaphysalis Leachi Leachi. Cette étude a prouvé de l'existence et de la présence permanente des tiques sur les prairies naturelles .Cela nous a confirmé le danger que court les bovins qui sont gardés dans un système d'élevage sur parcours libre (système extensif).celui d'être infecté par la thélèriose, une maladie très dangereuse chez les bovins.
